It's been a long time I've never update my blog, been busy all these days... =.=" but well I'm back with some latest news...

First of all I would like to congratulate Andi A. Merican on his release of his first single album "SOLO". He's been quiet for sometimes and work hard on his albums, and definitely you will know how much time he has put in to make this album.

You may ask, who is Andi A. Merican? Ever heard of "Infinatez"? Yes, he is the leader from his previous RnB group "Infinatez". With his experience and talent in music, he has improved and going to a next level of music productions.

In Heart, a budding group of young handsome guys that not only have the look but to have great talent in vocals. They have offically launched their first single album "Sakura - Bertuturnya Sebuah Perjuangan" in 1st Oct 2009 which held in Ampang Sport Planet. "Who are they?" you may ask... well, they are one of the group that make it to the semi-final in Akademi Nasyid that hosted by TV9 lately, and they get the most votes in sms voting as well.

I've been assigned to arrange this particular song "Penantian Ini" in this album, a Raya song that sound sad... ya, you wonder why... I was curious too when they pass me the demo. They explained the lyrics and the meaning of the song to me, "this song is dedicated to those parents that lost their children..." and they continue "imagine those parents that hoping for their children to come home during Raya, that must be heartbreaking..." Wow, what a meaningful song!

"Penantian Ini" was arranged according to their illustration, it's kind of rock ballad type of arrangement. Vocal was arranged by Rafique and Shah from Infinatez. This song was also featured by Imran Ajmain and Hyrul Mentor 3. Recorded, Mixed and Mastered at White Noise Studio.

Hope that this song touches many hearts and bring reunion to the families....

Finally, this long awaited album "Khabarkan" had released, bringing a whrilwind in local music industry... there are total 4 songs included in this single album, produced by Andi A. Merican, music arrangement by Stanley Fam (me... lol...), vocal arrangement by Luscious, mixed at Platinum Studio by Illegal, mastered at Mastering One by CL Toh and published by Those Who Believe Records and Publishing.

The female trio, Nur Shafinaz Mokhtar (Eenaz), Ruzana Ibrahim and Nadia Aqilah Bajuri, also known as Luscious is relieved that this very long awaited ‘baby’ of theirs is finally born. The whole process of making it was fully done by them and their very own humble team.“Things that we went through have made us really stronger, we have worked harder and still are, we have become a better friend to each other, and we’re no longer easily pulled down by criticism. We learned to learn more each day, only to make Luscious a better team,” said Eenaz.

Recently, Khabarkan won its very first award, ‘Bronze Award’ for best Pop Song by Voize Independent Music Award followed by Infinatez’s ‘Ada Masa’ and ‘Stay’ by Estrella. The song also was actually a soundtrack for the famous TV Series, Sindarela played on TV3 during the first quarter of 2008. It is, too, now a soundtrack for another TV series named Spa-Q 2, only it has been remixed to a sad version.“Khabarkan’s lyric was taken from a beautiful poem inspired by Pasha Rahim, combined with a beautiful composition by Andi Ariffin. We decided making 2 different versions because the lyrics could work both in both emotions, sad and hopeful,” says Ruzana. Andi Ariffin Merican, of the group Infinatez, produces all the tracks in the CD.

Other than Khabarkan, they have an upbeat song named Angan and a prelude track called Bintang, both done by Eenaz and Nadia. “Bintang is my personal favourite. It talks about love, hope and peace. Sometimes a song can make one believe, so we hope that we can do that to our listeners. We hope we can make all believe in peace,” says Nadia.

With nothing but vocals and sincerity to offer, Luscious will have their own way on spicing up our very own local industry.
It’s been awhile now since we have a female group, now this should be very exciting!

I've worked with Luscious for their upcoming album and 2 of their songs "Khabarkan" (familiar with this title? Ya... is the same song that chosen for TV3 series "Sindarela"...) and "Bintang" are chosen to be theme songs of this TV series "SpaQ 2". Since they are using the songs in the series, they need to have soundtracks as well (for different scenes...) So I'm given the ooportunity to arrange those soundtracks.

Amy Lim 林安咛, a former SBC 新传媒 (Singapore Broadcast Corporation, now known as MediaCorp) professional singer and performer, now serve to be a gospel singer with her extraodinaire gift in singing.

She came to me (while I'm still work in Gecko Music Sdn. Bhd.) and asked me if I could compose the melody for few lyrics by Chong Liang Sin 张亮星 (新加坡艺人之家 Singapore Artist Fellowship). Immediately I accepted the offer! I still remember there was a song that strike me when I flip through those sheets that Amy passed to me, the song titled as "Because Of Love" 因为有爱, and the melody just came to my mind... so I quickly grab the guitar and started to compose for that particular song. I just spent around 2 hours to finish the composition and recorded a demo. The next day before Amy headed back to Singapore, I passed her the CD. How amazing that God can make the song completed through a person just like that!

The song was lately being enhanced by Mr. Daniel Foo 符永光 (Director of Gecko Music Sdn. Bhd. 凯歌有限公司) and recorded in Amy's latest album "Fly" 飞.
